In an interview with Sport Mediaset, Carnevali spoke about the current state of talks over Raspadori, hoping to end this week.
“I hope that a Rapadori deal will come soon, we hope everything will be fine before the season starts. We have been talking to Napoli for a while. Let’s see when it ends,” said Carnevali.
“We are happy to keep this player. But we knew he wanted to leave for a bigger club. He will move under the right conditions. It’s not easy to negotiate. There are times when we have to end negotiations and in a couple of days or full this week.”
“We would gladly keep the player but we know he wants to go to a big club. He will go there under the right conditions. It is not an easy negotiation. There is a time in which we have to close it out, and it’s a few days, within this week at the most.”
The 22-year-old Raspadori shined last season under Alessio Dionisi, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 36 Serie A appearances. The talented forward is also a regular feature in Roberto Mancini’s Italy set-up and he was a part of the squad that won Euro 2020 last year.
